All refrigeration projects adopt safety margin when selecting equipment. However, the excessive expansion of DL, DD and DJ evaporators will cause many operational problems that designers did not expect in the design stage.

When the cooling capacity of the evaporator far exceeds the actual demand of the camera, it can reduce the temperature very quickly. When the temperature set point is reached, the system stops cooling. The switching cycle of the compressor becomes very frequent.

Repeated starting and stopping is very harmful to the service life of the compressor. Each startup will produce peak current and mechanical stress. Starting compression multiple times per hour will accelerate aging.

Another negative effect mentioned above is excessive dehydration. Because of its large cold surface, the evaporator can absorb a large amount of water from the air in a short time. In the fresh produce storage room, this will lead to dehydration and weight loss of commercial fruits, vegetables or fresh meat.

Frost and thaw cycles have also changed. Large evaporators dry faster in each operation cycle. Thawing cycles are activated more frequently, consuming extra energy and destroying the cold chain during each thawing.

The oversized evaporator will not be automatically compensated by FNH, FNH,FNV,FNVT capacitors. Even if the evaporator is large, the condenser must adapt to the actual heat load of the system, not the maximum rated capacity of the evaporator.

Using a reasonable safety margin of 15-20% is different from choosing an evaporator with twice the required capacity. Standard margin covers peak load and bad weather conditions; Excessive expansion will cause the operation to fail.
