Application Scenarios of FNU Air-cooled Closed Condenser in Industrial Refrigeration Equipment
FNU capacitor is a completely enclosed cabinet model, which is specially designed for environments that need to reduce noise and protect components from dust and corrosive air pollutants.
The closed structure of FNU integrates the whole coil, fan and compressor into a sealed metal shell with a large ventilation grid. Its operating noise level is between 52 dB(A) and 56 dB(A), while the FNV type open capacitor with equivalent power can reach 61-65 dB(A). Due to its closed design, the noise reduction is about 8-9 dB(A).
Its main application field is facilities very close to residential areas, office buildings or houses, and local regulations limit the noise level at night. Many municipal regulations require outdoor industrial equipment to work less than 55 dB(A) at night; FNU is more adaptable to these limitations than the open model FNH or FNV.
Another suitable scene is an industrial area with high dust concentration, suspended particles or a coastal environment with high salinity. The closed shell reduces the direct deposition of dust and salt on the fins of the heat exchanger. The tracking data shows that the frequency of forced cleaning coil is reduced by 40% compared with the open chassis capacitor.
The FNU capacitor has one main limitation: compared with the open FNV with the same heat exchange surface, its rated capacity is reduced by 7% to 11%. The closed enclosure creates a small additional resistance to airflow, resulting in performance loss. This factor should be taken into account in the calculation and equipment selection stage.
According to the data table cited by xindacool, FNU is not recommended for places where the ambient temperature is higher than 39°C in summer. Under extreme high temperature conditions, the heat accumulation in the closed casing will aggravate the performance degradation and may trigger the thermal protection of the compressor. For very hot climate, the open model FNV or FNVT is the first choice.
FNU requires more installation space than an open capacitor with the same power. It occupies about 22% of the physical volume, so it is necessary to reserve enough space in the courtyard or external computer room. In addition, you need to keep an unobstructed distance between the air inlet and the air outlet to avoid affecting the flow.
When pairing FNU with DL,DD or DJ series air coolers, its corrected actual capacity should be used instead of its total rated power. Keep a safety margin of 15% on the cooling load calculated by the evaporator. If a correction factor is not applied to its closed structure, FNU cannot be regarded as a standard FNV.
FAQ
What are the main advantages of FNU sealed capacitor? It can reduce noise and protect components from dust and environmental salts.
Compared with the equivalent FNV, how much noise reduction function does FNU provide? The realization of 8-9 dB(A) reduces the power of an open capacitor similar to FNV.
Will your closed enclosure cause performance loss? Yes, compared with the constant coil FNV, it loses 7% to 11% capacity.
Which ambient temperatures are not recommended to use FNU? It is not recommended to use in areas where the ambient temperature is higher than 39°C in summer.
Which evaporators can FNU condenser be paired with? Compatible with DL, DD and DJ series coolers, and the capacity correction coefficient is applied.
What margin of safety is applied when scaling with FNU? Maintain a profit margin of at least 15% of the calculated actual cooling load.
