What is fin separation in DD,DL and DJ air coolers and how does it affect the refrigeration performance?

The separation of fins is the distance between two metal plates, a decisive parameter, the accumulation of frost and the thermal efficiency of evaporator.

DL series air coolers adopt 4.0-4.5 mm blade separation, aiming at maximizing heat transfer in low frost environment. With this setting, the surface exchange area is 13% larger than that of DJ model for the same physical volume of equipment.
